L’Office Chrétien des Personnes Handicapées

At the service of families, friends, and establishments

Founded in 1963 by Marie-Hélène Mathieu, with the help of Father Henri Bissonier, the association's aim is to study and implement any initiative liable to contribute to the well-being, progress, integration on a family, social or ecclesiastic level, of people who are ill or disabled, whatever their handicap or difficulties. The association draws inspiration from the Christian faith.

Which forms of action does the OCH carry out?

Explaining : by diffusing a message of support to disabled people, their parents, friends, and more generally all people concerned. This message is spread by means of the Ombres et Lumière Lien externe magazine, radio programmes, documents, publication of books, conférences Lien externe, participation in congresses.

Welcoming : of people looking for advice, information, someone who will listen, support in carrying out procedures.

Support : through prayer and the Eucharist. At the very heart of our worship we carry all of the intentions that people have confided in us. Also through financial and material support for Christian initiatives that are at the service of disabled people.
