May : contemplate Christ's face together with Mary

During the course of this month of May, we propose that you discover and meditate on the glorious mysteries of Jesus's life through the Rosary which is the poor man's prayer par excellence!

In his apostolic letter“Rosarium Virginis Mariae” Lien externe pope John Paul II reminds us that ''Reciting the rosary is equal to contemplating the beauty of Christ's face with Mary''. He proclaimed October 2002 to October 2003 the year of the rosary.

Alone or with our community we can rediscover with Mary, who remembered and meditated all these events in her heart, this beautiful and simple prayer : the Rosary. Between each ten recitals of ''Ave Maria'' read the passage from the Gospel, and while reciting the ten ''Ave Maria'' imagine Jesus alive, talking, praying, contemplate him.

The glorious mysteries are :

1. Christ's baptism
''As soon as Jesus was baptised,.. he saw the Spirit of God descending on him like a dove. and a voice from heaven said ''This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well-pleased.'' (Mt 3,16-17)

2. The Wedding in Cana
''You have kept the best wine till now. This was the first miraculous sign performed by Jesus. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.” (Jn 2,10-11)

3. Annoucement of the Kingdom
''The time has come, the Kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!''' (Mk 1,15)

4. The Transfiguration
''From the bright cloud a voice said: ''This is my Son whom I love; with him I am well-pleased. Listen to him!'''' (Mt 17,5)

5. The Last Supper
''I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.. I will not eat it again until it finds fulfilment in the kingdom of God.''
(Lc 22,15-16)
