Easter Joy!

Dear Friends,

Faith and Light is a people, a small people tirelessly searching to follow Jesus, and to live in Him each stage of his passage from Good Friday through to Easter Sunday, his passage from death into Life.

In our communities, we relive the Pascal mystery each time that we try to love one another by recognising Jesus in the those who are weaker, who are suffering, who are crying and who are rejected.
This is why Easter is so important for us: Faith and Light was born at Easter, in Lourdes, exactly 34 years ago, and this was not by chance! The fact that we were born at Easter also tells us of the foundation of our calling.

During this Holy week, we have tried to live in the love of Jesus: nourished by his Body, washing each other’s feet, carrying His cross with Simon, the man from Cyrene, wiping His face with Veronica, staying by His side, upright at the food of the Cross with Mary and John, asking his forgiveness with the good thief, or going through the long absence of Holy Saturday with Mary.

Today, on Easter morning, the Resurrection of Jesus removes all our doubts, our fears and our desperations. Christ is truly risen, Alleluiah!
He has come to take us out of our tombs, to make us new men and women, risen with Him.

May this Easter joy, a joy for all the people of the earth, come to transfigure our hearts and lives, the life of our communities and transform our Ways of the Cross into paths of light!

I wish each one of you, and each of your communities, a beautiful and Holy Easter.

With all my love,
Viviane
