I was afraid that they would be lost or embarrassed or bored. On the contrary, they shared our meal simply, each one being welcomed into one of our communities. They got easily involved in all our activities, singing, dancing… From time to time they seemed surprised, but never ill at ease. They paid particular attention to the testimonies of an intellectually disabled young man, a father and a young friend, each telling in his own way, how Faith and Life had transformed his life. For us, the unexpected presence of these Members of the Synod at our meeting, gave us strength, hope and confirmation. Valentina |
