Dear Brothers and Sisters, On 29th March the international council of Faith and Light meeting in Trosly-Breuil, made a pilgrimage of thanksgiving and trust to the little chapel of Notre-Dame des Neuffontaines in the heart of the forest. Each and every one of you was so present in our hearts. Here is our prayer in communion with you: Lord Jesus, 35 years ago in Lourdes, in time for the Easter celebration in 1971, in your love you gave us the gift of Faith and Light. It was at the grotto where Mary appeared to the little girl Bernadette that we all gathered at the end of the pilgrimage. Twelve thousand pilgrims; people with intellectual disabilities, members of their families and friends, particularly young people. Today, we have come to give you thanks for the transformation of so many hearts, hearts that have discovered this great mystery across the whole world: joy and pain can co-exist where there is friendship based on affection and loyalty. We would like to give particular thanks for the loyalty of Jean and Marie-Hélène to your call. To your tenderness and the tenderness of Mary, we entrust each of the communities in the 74 countries and each one of their members. Impassion our hearts so that we may live and announce the Good News of your love. Magnificat! Alleluia! Wishing each of you and your communities a beautiful Easter celebration.
