Our mission

Faith and Light is founded on the belief that each person with an intellectual disability is fully a person with all the rights of a human being: above all the right to be loved, recognized and respected for himself or herself and in the choices he/she makes; the right also to receive whatever help is necessary in order to grow at every level, spiritual and human.

When we talk about the birth of our Faith and Light communities, we usually say that no one had foreseen it; it was actually the Holy Spirit who inspired its beginning, at the end of the great pilgrimage to Lourdes at Easter 1971.
