Let's support the mission of Faith and Light !

We are slowly entering the season of Advent, a time of shared expectation and hope, a time of preparation for the coming of Jesus. This expectation resonates deeply with the vocation of Faith and Light, which accompanies the spiritual journey of people with intellectual disabilities throughout the world.

Dear friends from Faith and Light,

The communities bear witness to God's tenderness for them and their families and make it possible to meet and befriend the most vulnerable. They are like a living spring, the home of Gospel values that enables everyone to find their place. Present in 86 countries, the movement continues to grow in new territories (Wallis and Futuna, Malta, Tenerife...).

The presence of the communities plays a key role in integrating people with disabilities into society and the Church, by changing the way they are seen. “Our friends with intellectual disabilities have taught me the importance of vulnerability and helped me to see it as a gift to be discovered by following the gospel of littleness”. Rev Bob Brooke (England).

As you know, Faith and Light international helps establish and nurture local communities where persons with intellectual disabilities and their families can find belonging and support.

This month, WE NEED YOUR HELP to support in particular the 11 West African communities in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Nigeria, Togo and the Central African Republic. Many families do not have the means to cover the transportation to the Faith and Light meeting and to bring a meal. Some need medical assistance and psychological support for their child with disabilities.
