Coordinators' Council 2026

Between 27 October and 1 November, the coordinators of the 51 provinces of Faith and Light will meet in Egypt for the Coordinators' Council. This meeting is an important step between two general assemblies, a time when a true international community is created (Constitution, p. 30).

The Coordinators' Council, a key event in 2026, will bring together all the representatives of the 51 provinces of Faith and Light and the international team in Egypt from October 27 to November 1.
This meeting, which takes place between two general assemblies, is a unique opportunity to grow together, support one another, pray as one family, and strengthen the bonds of our international community.

In total, this event will bring together 110 participants, including a dozen guest chaplains representing the different denominations present in our movement (Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, and Anglican). Led by the international coordinator and his team, this Council is a special time for consultation and formation.

The chosen theme, “A Hidden Treasure,” echoes Jesus' parable in the Gospel of Matthew (Mt 13:44), where the Kingdom of Heaven is compared to a treasure discovered by chance and capable of transforming life. Like this treasure, Faith and Light invites everyone to recognize and welcome the richness of encounters with people with disabilities, a precious and often unexpected gift that can open the heart.

The program for this event will include: These few days together will be an opportunity for leaders to experience the international dimension of the movement and to forge bonds of friendship.

  • Presentations on topics of concern to several provinces, such as the fear of commitment and the difficulty of finding new leaders, aging in communities, etc., and on what makes our movement so unique (the family dimension of Faith and Light, a place to recognize Jesus today, etc.). These presentations will be followed by working groups to discuss the issues raised.
  • Formation to improve understanding of ecumenism, the functioning of nomination committees, and financial management.
  • Workshops offering ideas for activities to enrich the meetings.
  • Times of prayer and vigil.
  • An afternoon of sharing and celebration with the Faith and Light community of Alexandria.
