WHY GIVE?

The Faith and Light international association, recognised as being of general interest, was born of the desire to help people with intellectual disabilities and their families to find their place in the Church and in society. 

Organised in communities of meeting on a human scale, Faith and Light brings together people with intellectual disabilities, their families and friends. The members of each community meet regularly for times of celebration, sharing, friendship and prayer.
Today, Faith and Light has more than 1 290 communities in 51 provinces on five continents, covering 86 countries and 38 different languages. Two thirds of the countries where Faith and Light is present are in great economic difficulty or political instability.
Without distinction of age, social background or culture, the members of the communities belong to different Christian traditions: Catholic, Protestant, Anglican, Orthodox...
The headquarters and secretariat of Faith and Light international are in France. It employs three staff members, while almost the entire movement is based on committed, inspired and very active volunteers.
